Not the Greatest

This week wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't the worst either.

Let's start off with my weight loss, or should I say gain. I put on 0.4 lbs. Now I could probably go take a poop and I would be good, but it's still not a loss of at least 2 lbs. I wanted to at least hit the 230's.

I had some bad day's. Tuesday I had to get an Upper G.I done. This is basically an x-ray of my esophagus, abdomen and stomach. They make you drink this thick milky white stuff called barium while your getting the x-ray. It is HORRIBLE. Well I don't know if it was a reaction or not, but I had these terrible abdominal pains that brought me to my knees for 3 straight days, and I was so sick. I finally passed the stuff and have been ok since Friday.

Then on Thursday the granite finally was installed, and it looked beautiful. Unfortunately one section was measured wrong. They ended up coming back Friday night to rip it up, and they have to cut a whole new piece. That piece alone is worth $1700. Someone is getting fired.....lol

I have to say I slacked off on the June Boom this week because of my testing. So I'm gonna have to assume that is a big part of my little gain this week. I really wasn't eating the best either, so I can't really complain.

My goal for this week is a 5 lbs loss. Is it possible? Absolutely, I'm just gonna have to work hard at it. That will catch me up for this weeks gain. 225 here I come!
I also need to start drinking more water, as I think I'm a little lacking in that department as well. It has been super hot, but I really haven't been thirsty.

My blog hit 50 followers this week, and was really excited when I seen it. I'm going to have to have a giveaway!!!
I will find something cool and will let you know in a post in the next couple of days.....

So in my last post I had mentioned that I met a fellow blogger from New Zealand named Becky (I'm just a girl & I've had it up to here) She is hilarious, you need to read her shit...she is so crazy just like me, and we have decided that we are cosmic twins.
She also has more readers than me now, and I'm not happy about this fact....lol
We decided to start sending each other shit in the mail that neither one of us has or tried before. For example she has never had a Twinkie, and I have never had a Tim Tam. I am gonna blog about this since I think it's an amazing idea. I'm almost finished getting her care package ready, then off it goes!!!

1. How and why did you first start blogging? And how long have you been blogging?


I started blogging in February 2011 to help me on my new adventure of weight loss. I have enjoyed it a lot. I have met new people, gained a friendship with an amazing woman in New Zealand (Bexstar, check her blog out, she is funny as shit) and have gotten amazing support and feedback for my lifestyle change. I have recently added a new blog to my life. It's called Bonnie's Bites and it's all about food. It's still a work in progress, but I'm really proud of my HTML skills.....lol 


2. Tell me about your perfect mate – if you could invent him/her?



I already have my perfect mate, his name is Dan (hi honey, just incase your reading this) Ok now that I'm covered.....lol
The thing I like most in men is that they have to be over 6 feet tall. Not too scrawny, no long hair, definitely no cowboy boots. They must have a great smile, teeth are so important. I am turned on by guys in SWAT uniforms with guns strapped to their thighs (OMG so HOT). I need a man that can cook somewhat, that can handle my whining, and that is sensitive when he needs to be. Must love music as I am into music so much it's sickening. Last but not least he must love me for me, not who he wants me to be.


3. Do you wear fake eyelashes? Do you want to? Do you use glue or self-stick ones? Do you like how they look?


I don't wear fake eyelashes, but I would love too! I had them put on by a makeup artist once for a wedding, and I loved them. So thinking they would look fab on me again I went out and bought a pair....boy was that a joke, I got glue everywhere and I looked like a spider lady. It was hanging half on, half off. Never again, unless someone else put them on for me. I could always get last extensions.


4. Let’s say money was no object and neither was time off to recover – are you an advocate of plastic surgery after weight loss?



I definitely would look into it for a breast lift, a tummy tuck, and the removal of extra fat from under my arms, and between my thighs. I know those are going to be the trouble spots on me after I lose the amount of weight that I want. I don't what to change who I am or how I look, just enough to make me feel better.


5. Repeat question. Summarize your week in blog land and in real life.


Blog land has been great. Everyone is writing some really great stuff. I love seeing other peoples progress, and to be apart of it. I try to comment as much as possible when I get a chance, and I love reading other people's comments as well!


Real life has been kinda shitty this week. I had an Upper GI done (Abdominal X-Ray) and I had to drink this horrible stuff called barium. It stayed in my system for 3 days. I had the worst cramps and number 2's ever. Then to top that off, my granite finally came in and it's gorgeous except one piece was measured wrong so they had to rip it out and I'm waiting for the new piece to come in. I have no sink now so I have to wash my dishes in the laundry tub.
The best was waking up to the Ducks.

If it looks like a duck...

My husband was leaving for work at 7:30am, and he calls my cell while out in the driveway....

Hubby: Quick come to the front window
Me: What the hell are you taking about, I'm still in bed, naked
Hubby: Just come to the window
Me: God, ok fine whatever.

So I stumble half asleep to the window and look out to see a mama duck with about 10 little babies on my front lawn. I was astonished as I live in a sub-division full of concrete.
I of course ran to get dressed and grab my iPhone for pics. I was like these pics will be great for my blog. (I am constantly taking random pics of anything for you guys)

I went outside and tried to get pretty close, but then the mama started yelling at me so I backed off. They hid in the bushes for a bit, so I myself hid in the garage so they could be on their merry way.
I panicked a little when they left because they decided to walk in the middle of my street. I stood and watched them, and made sure they didn't get hit till they disappeared around the corner.

1. The Solar Bikini: This "thing" allows you to plug in a device via a USB port and get's power from the sun. Just don't forget to unplug it before you go into the water......or else what??? do you get electrocuted??? Most items you bring to the beach have rechargeable batteries for this reason, most beaches don't have outlets. I'm sorry but I would be concerned with frying my nipples off.....

Charge your favourite gadgets while getting a nice tan.

2. 24K Gold Plated BBQ Grill: Is this really necessary to cook a frickin' steak? $164,000 for this backyard monstrosity. This is a one-of-a-kind BBQ.....I hope to hell it stays that way too. You better invest in some great security at home, cause I know people would be hopping my fence to steal this shit.

For people who want to make a statement, with money to burn.

3. Great Wall of Vagina: Yes I said Vagina. Jamie McCartney has spent the last 5 years taking plaster moulds of over 400 women vagina's aged 18-76. He does this to prove the point that every woman is different. NO SHIT SHERLOCK. Anyone that thinks all pussy's look the same is about as dumb as your piece of artwork (my opinion only remember?) 

4. Easy Gym: This is a gym in Spain that is offering Naked Workouts. That's right people, working out in the nude. That's just what I want, while running on the tread mill, to look over and see some guys dick waging back and forth and slapping off his inner thighs with that awful thwap, thwap sound. You know what I'm taking about right? Or going to sit down at a weight machine and seeing ball sweat on the bench. This is a ridiculous idea.

5. Bacon Perfume: Just what I have been looking for. Something to have all the neighbourhood dogs chasing me on my nightly walks. Who the fuck wants to smell like bacon, or any kind of meat for that matter? I know sometimes women are referred to as pieces of meat, but this is taking it way to far.

6. Urine Injections for Fat Loss: You read that right, you inject pregnant woman's urine into your body to speed up your metabolism for a more effective weight loss. The hormone HCG tricks your brain into thinking that your pregnant thus metabolizing faster.  This is beyond normal. I mean if your into taking "golden showers" the more power to ya. I don't hate. But this is crazy!!!.....shooting peoples piss into you is messed up.

7. Fattest Woman in the World: Donna Simpson you should be ashamed of yourself. Wanting & trying to be the fattest woman in the world is the most fucked up thing I have ever heard of. She is currently 600lbs and trying to reach her goal of 1000lbs.  She has already been acknowledged by Guinness for being the "Fattest Mother in the World"...Gee congrats on that, your parents must be so proud of your accomplishments. The shittiest thing is that her kid is 3. This woman is going to leave this child motherless because of her stupidity.

8. Willow Sage: No I am not talking about a tree, or an herb. I'm talking about what Pink & Carey Hart named their little baby girl. It actually sounds like a new Ralph Lauren paint color. "Oh Honey what do you think of painting the kitchen Willow Sage, I think it would go amazing with the maple cabinets" Famous people are being ridiculous with names these days....Apple, Pilot, Fifi, Coco, Kyd, Rocket, Ocean, Blue, Audio, Moxie and my personal fav Jermajesty.

What should we name our next one? How about Pine Cilantro?

9. Cock Flavoured Soup Mix: Do you really think they couldn't have come up with a better name for this product? While I am married to a man, and enjoy the "cock" from time to time, this is the last thing that I would like to read on my soup label. How about about me getting your chips called megapussi dear?

The Official 40

So I have finally made/past the 40 lbs mark. I lost a total of 1.6lbs this week. Not a lot but it's still a loss, and it put's me at a total loss of 40.8 lbs since February 1st. Not too bad!!!

Now that I reached the 40 pound mark you know what that means right! BRA & PANTY PIC!!!!!!

283, 263, 243.....I'm loosing my boobs, this is a sad day

If you noticed in a earlier blog, I am participating in the June Boom . My updates on what I am doing are posted in a section marked "June Boom" in the upper right hand column of my blog. I seem to be motivated enough to work out every day, but it's hard. I am used to going for my walk/jogs every other day. I made a commitment though to do at least 30 minutes of activity a day, those are the rules.

There are a lot of activities going down in my home town this weekend. There is the LaSalle Strawberry Fest, which is a carnival with rides, food, live music & booze. There is the 1st Annual BeaverFest (great name, totally perverted) this is where local and famous bands get together to play music at our new amphitheatre downtown by the river. There is also Art in the Park, which I attended today with my husband, son and BFF Jay. This is where vendors from all over get together in a huge park we call Willistead, and they try to sell their art, crafts, metalwork, and food. Here are some pics from the day...

I did purchase some wonderful gourmet dip seasoning packages at Debi Does Dips. These are amazing and I buy them every year. You can also order them online as they do ship. $20 for 7 packs. I recommend the Roasted Garlic & Cheddar it's unreal. You just mix mayo & sour cream with the seasoning packs and voila...you can even make this healthy by substituting greek yogurt instead! I'm serious check her out, you won't be sorry!

Today we also got our cabinet renovations done, our extension for the wine fridge to go in & the island. Now we are just waiting on the granite. Hopefully that comes in later this week. Here is a pic from before & after the extra cabinets were put in. We also added a ceiling fan and pot lights.

What a busy weekend, and this was just Saturday. I work tomorrow so I won't be doing much of anything except for my "minimum" 30 minutes of activity for June Boom.

A: is for Apple, what's your favourite variety?
I personally love Granny Smith's because of the tartness. I also love Fuji's

B: is for Bread, regardless of nutrition, calories, or whole grains what is your favorite type to have a nice big piece of?
I love sourdough. My dad use to buy this all the time while I was growing up. It goes back to the sour thing for me. It had just a hint of it. Smother it with butter and OMG.

C: is for Cereal what is your favorite kind currently (just one!)
If it is a somewhat healthy cereal I would pick Honey Nut Cheerios, if it's a bad one Alphabets....lol


D: is for Doughnuts, you might not currently be eating them but what kind do you fancy?
It would be a tie between a chocolate dip, and a honey cruller


E: is for Eggs, how would you like yours prepared?
I will only eat them if they are scrambled, or in an omelet. I think eggs are gross any other way. Please don't ask why because I don't have an answer. My mother asked me for years growing up and I didn't have an answer for her either.


F: is for Fat Free, what is your favorite fat free product?
Swedish Fish gummies & Sour Patch Kids. It's the sugar that will get ya though.....


G: is for Groceries, where do you purchase yours at?
Right now I get all my fruits & veggies from a stand that sells local produce, I get my meat from Mr. Meats (original I know) and the rest of the stuff at a local supermarket. Unfortunately there is no Whole Food or Trader Joe's near me unless I cross the border.


H: is for Hot Beverages, what is your favorite hot drink?
Hot Chocolate from Starbucks (no whip) or Green Tea


I: is for Ice Cream, pick a favorite flavour and add a fun topping.
This one is easy. My fav is Heavenly Hash, or Mint Chocolate Chip (Baskin Robbin's only) I can't add a fun topping because I don't like anything on my ice cream. How about a sugar/waffle cone instead?


J: is for Jams or Jellies, do you eat them, and if so what kind and flavour?
I hate jam. I always have. Don't like marmalade either.


K: is for Kashi, name your favourite Kashi product?
I love the Dark Chocolate Coconut bars. These are glorious, in fact I'm eating one as I'm writing this!


L: is for Lunch, what was yours today?
I had a Chicken, Spinach & Mushroom sandwich from Lean Cuisine. These taste great and I have it at least once a week. I also had a fuji apple, and lots of water


M: is for microwave, what is your favorite microwave meal/snack?
Not much amazing comes out of a microwave I think. I'm gonna have to go with Edamame for healthy, and popcorn for semi healthy


N: is for nutrients, do you like carbs, fats, or proteins best?
Carbs. I love my potatoes, and bread. I miss salt too.....lol


O: is for oil, what kind do you like to use?
I use canola oil for everything. I find it to be the most versatile oil of them all.


P: is for protein, how do you get yours?
I get most of my protein from eggs in the morning, and meat the rest of the day. No protein shakes in this house


Q: is for Quaker, how do you like your oats?
Pre-packaged in a box that says Raisin's and Spice. I miss eating this cause it's not good for me, but this was my favourite oatmeal growing up.


R: is for roasting, what is your favourite thing to roast?
MMMMM anything. Chicken, Potatoes, Beef, Garlic, this list could go on and on


S: is for sandwich, what’s your favourite kind?
I like making sandwiches on my panini press. Start with a nice crusty bun, add mustard and some buffalo mozzarella cheese. Then add some arugula, a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, then some roasted red peppers. Next the meat, sweet capicola, and mortadella. Then press the shit out of it......my mouth is watering as I am typing. So much for that Kashi bar earlier.


T: is for travel, how do you handle eating while traveling?
I can't really answer this fairly as I haven't been anywhere since I have started dieting.


U: is for unique, what is one of your weirdest food combos?
I used to put syrup on my pierogi's


V: is for vitamins, what kind do you take?
Right now I'm not taking any due to doc's orders. When I do though it quite a bit. I believe I have a list on my second post in my blog


W: is for wasabi, yay or nay?
That is a big nay for me.....


X: is for XRAY. if we x-rayed your belly right now, what food would we see?
A kashi bar floating around in a whole lot of water


Y: is for youth, what food reminds you of your childhood?
Is it terrible to say that I don't have one. I sat and thought about this one for a while too. Nothing I ever eat triggers memories from when I was a kid


Z: is for zucchini, how do you prepare it?
Slice it up, drizzle a little oil, some cajun seasoning, rub it in, then grill it on the BBQ. Soooo Goood!
