Opinions

Opinions are like assholes......everyone has one

I really don't care what you think of me, or my lifestyle.

This rage has been pent up for sometime, and I feel I just need to vent. Quite a few people have opinions on my weight loss & how I'm doing it, or how "wrong" I'm doing it apparently.

  • You're eating too many carbs
  • You shouldn't have a cheat day
  • Your eating too late

Blah, blah, blah.........

I made this change for me.....not you, or anyone else. If I want to eat a fucking potato I will. If it takes me 2 years to lose all the weight, then so be it. So what if I don't reach one of my goals by the time I set it? I will just make a new goal and try harder.

You think this is easy?????

I need the love & support of ALL my family, friends and fellow bloggers.....

Don't tell me I'm doing great, and then in the same sentence tell me I need to change this, or that.....

HYPOCRITES.......

Didn't your mamma tell you "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".....

Keep your damn mouth shut and leave me the hell alone.....I don't need that kind of support fuck you very much!

I'm down 63 pounds since February. So what if I'm 30 pounds behind my original goal of 10 pounds a  month. No one is perfect, I have had a stressful last few months.

I HAVE ALREADY LOST A SMALL HUMAN DAMNIT!!!!!

I am just going to continue on my adventure to ONEDERLAND and keep doing what I have been doing. That includes my cheat days, and carbs.

I will reach my goal eventually, whether your opinions are taken into consideration or not!

  1. If you are down 63 pounds since February- it seems like YOU should be not worrying about what anyone says. Maybe they should be taking tips from you.

  2. I like this post, I get it. I see where you're coming from. I get those comments too, but I don't see all of them as criticisms. They're little tips or fresh perspective - sometimes. And you're absolutely right, a lot of times it is someone being all Holier Than Though Master of Dieting.... and those people can suck my ass. There is no "One Size Fits All" in dieting. If there was a magic template for when to eat, how much and a precise menu - nobody would have the struggles. You do you. You learn yourself, your body, your hunger, your caloric needs and your cravings. I think you're awesome and you totally rock in every way.

  5. I love the 3F's thing lol.

Its true though, different things work for different people.
Helpful criticism is one thing but if someone is telling you DON'T EAT THAT, they are stupid. Losing weight is about moderation. And if you aren't allowed to eat certain things, then its a diet and not a lifestyle change. And we all know diets don't work :)

  6. amen! My journey is taking a lot longer than I thought. Son of a bitchin life gets in the way and HELLO....how do you think I got fat in the first place.

  8. Damnit, I thought the phrase was, "If you have nothin' nice to say, come sit by me."

I completely agree, everyone needs to shut the fuck up. I have no nutritional advice for anyone unless they ask my opinion about something.

My go-to phrase for people when they say they're having trouble? "Must be water weight!"

  9. AMEN! I hate when people want to chime in about what I NEED to do or shouldn't be doing when really they should look at their own damn habits in the mirror. I won't call people out on their bullshit unless they ask me to or they ask for my feedback. I will give advice but only if you ask me and it's my opinions on my views of things so you can take it with a grain of salt.

  12. All I can say is...

    You fucking tell them sistah!!

Your weight-loss journey isn't going to be one straight line. There's going to be an abundant amount of twists, turns, nooks and crannies and perhaps even some back peddling (hellooo egg nog, sweet treats and holiday cookies).

As long as you keep your eye on the prize... Absolutely no one else can steer the direction you're taking on this journey (trust me, I know it aint easy getting up at ASS o'clock to go to the gym). Keep rocking it sugar plum and I promise it will all be worth it!

  13. Yup, I agree with you completely. It always pisses me right the fuck off when people come to my blog preaching this that and the other. I read blogs so that I can hear your opinions. Don't come dragging it into my house, lecturing me because I (literally) eat a potato EVERY DAY. hahahaha. They just wanna feel like experts at something, I guess.

  14. you just do your thing and know you are doing it for you! behind you all the way! I have a potato whenever the heck I want to!!!

  15. Bahahahahaha! Love it! I feel like since you left "hell" you have been able to do a lot of unloading and saying how you really, really feel, and I love it! Now you don't have to worry about something you say outside of work being used against you at work. Or wait, that never happened. All of their decisions were made to suit the better needs of the business. Hahaha

  16. I'm so with you! I've dropped a lot of weight since I started in May, and I HATE it when people try to tell me what to eat or how I should be working out. Um hello? I've gone from a lethargic size 26 to an energetic size 18. Yes, I eat cookies and cake when I want. Sure I probably could have dropped even more weight by now but y'know what? I wouldn't have wanted to do it that way! Diets have failed me in the past because I deprived myself of things I wanted to eat. I'd end up binging and falling completely off the wagon, which would result in gaining everything I'd lost back and then some! So yeah, screw other people for trying to tell you what and how to eat!

  17. Hey Twin. Seriously, this is YOUR journey. You are making these changes for your health and well being. The people who think you need to be doing something different...well, F them, what you are doing is working girly. And this isn't a race or a competition. As you clearly state, if you don't make the goal in its current form, you write up a new goal and work toward that. This is a lifetime process and not just "get to goal" and then we're done. You are working it, and it's working for you!

    *sparkle hearts*

  19. Oh, sing it, sister. I HATE it when people push their judgements and opinions on me. Especially when it's unsolicited. ESPECIALLY when it's about diet.

Why is it that one negative comment has the same emotional impact of twenty positive comments? Ah, well. Here's one positive comment to balance out the negative: you're doing a great job, and I'm proud of you.
